Returning Android user. What assistant to set up for new phone/watch?

Hey All. Just got my s25+ and watch 7 yesterday. I'm wondering what assistant is best to set up for use on both watch and phone? I'm coming from a year and a half on apple so my androiding is a bit rusty. I'm even having trouble finding where to choose and to make sure they are both using the same assistant. Any help please? Even just which is reigning supreme these days, google assistant, bixby, gemini?

That's a hard one to pick. Gemini definitely has a lot more AI chops than the 'regular' Assistant, but it is not yet available for Wear OS. Most of the stuff you can do with Assistant (provided you enable the 'plugins') you can do with Gemini, however, but for now the 'extra' AI stuff will only be available if prompted from your phone.

I haven't even enabled Bixby on my phones for years, and from what I hear, not much has changed since then. On the latest Samsung phones, however, if you use Gemini, that will automagically use some of Bixby's phone-specific prowess to be able to do app-specific actions.
