Hi all. I am planning on returning my Nexus 4. I believe that they go e you 15 days to decide. I have just not found it to be much better than my one x. The camera and screen are not as good in my opinion. But that is just my opinion. My question is should I unroot it and relock the bootloaded before sending it back? Thanks.

I've always restored my phone's to their original states before I sell/return them. Most people don't root or put custom roms on their phones, so don't want them to get any surprises.

Well as fate would have it, I have gone past my 15 day return period. They will not take it back as the started the 15 days from when they shipped it. It took 8 days to get to me. Oh well. I will keep and try to figure out how to flash an older radio to enable lte. It is really not a bad phone.

It's a bit crappy its not from date of arrival, if you really want to get rid of it you could probably still manage to sell it off for almost the same price.

That doesn't sound right to me. I'm pretty sure when I ordered mine, they said the 15 days began when you took delivery. I would check your order information again.

Bummer. But its extremely easy unlock/root/flash Nexi and probably more importantly extremely hard to brick/break one doing it. Google factory images always available to restore if you soft brick. Read stickies in hack section. May be better ones in Verizon GNex section. Process is the same. Ask away once you read a bit. Tmobile LTE worked great the few days I used it in DC. As good as any official LTE device I've owned

Thanks Con Tejas. I have already unlocked the bootloader and rooted it. I am still on 4.2. I wonder if I should install the 4.2.2 update and reroot it? I have not tried to flash a new rom yet. I have not been able to get lte yet even though I have it on my package and the proper apn settings for Rogers. I think I would need to flash an older radio, when I figure out how.

You are right Mr_nobody. I went on the playstore website and I say that I had 25 day after I got the device. I phoned in after midnight. The rep was helpful and I am doing an rma tomorrow. Thanks for all your help everybody.

I guess I am going to stick with my one x for now. I really like the N4, but it just did not meet my expectations. I might wait until August when my upgrade is available and check out the HTC one. Or see what the Nexus 5 has to offer.
