Returning to Marshmellow?

So, I have had a ton of issues with cellular connectivity on my phone. I was recently told LG has been having a lot of issues with the software, which is causing dropped calls, inconsistent reception and other issues.

Is there a way to go back to Marshmellow to see if that fixes the problems I am having? If I do go back, will I be able to still get the OTA updates??

factory reset your phone because it is easier and better.

Tried that and it did not work.
