Reverse wireless charging

Has anyone had this working? I'm struggling with any device, even my S7 Edge. I assume both devices have to be on. When I do get them to respond, I get a message about NFC tags

This just seems silly TBH, I mean besides just showing it off why would you want to use your phone to charge another phone and more importantly how fast will it charge.

I mean even an event of an emergency why not just use or let them borrow your Mate 20 Pro.


Yes, I'm considering buying it just waiting for Black Friday sale. I'm not here to to knock this feature or Huawei.

Its a great feature for wireless headphones that don't require much power when being charged...

It's for instances like nights out where your friend's phone is low on battery and more so for wireless headphones+smartwatches, why is everyone thinking it's for phones only? Think headphones charging by just being in the same pocket as your phone, very useful and not a gimmick at all.

People will only understand its usefulness when Apple debut the feature in 5years time and it will suddenly be a must have feature.

I've shown it to a few people on the iPhone 8, iPhone X and a Samsung S9. Definitely worked with all of those phones, I didn't get an RFID tag message. Maybe turn NFC off to see if that makes a difference? (Although I have that on for Google Pay)

Disappointed the Watch GT doesn't have wireless charging, that would have been useful (My free one is being dispatched soon apparently!). A few times with my current Huawei Watch 1, it hasn't charged properly overnight, and its then a useless lump on your wrist from lunchtime onwards.

I used it to charge my brother's iPhone, and needless to say, blew quite a few people's minds!!

Basically just enough to wake a dead phone so your friend can check their message, missed call or a phone number. You can then lend them ur phone for them to use. So in a sense it is like a spare tire.

I think it's a great option to have...even if it can charger your frds dead phone in time of emergency to even look up a number it's amazing...i think all flagships phones should have this feature...and must have min 4000 mah battery...

It's a great feature IF it charges other phones quickly. At least double the speed it currently charges other phones
