A few days ago, I bought a used Nexus S 4G in excellent condition, I received it yesterday. The previous owner of the handset had flashed CM10 to it before he shipped it to me, so I received it with the ROM already on it. My plans for this device were to flash it to a different carrier (no I'm not asking how to do that, I already know how :P) but when I connect it to my two machines, both of which I already installed the proper USB drivers installed on, they didn't recognise the phone whatsoever and all it does is charge. After fiddling around with the handset for a few hours I sent a message to the seller asking him if he had problems with the USB port before he flashed CM and sold it to me?he came back saying it worked fine before flashing.

I've been lurking around various forums on how to revert this phone back to stock ROM, and all the methods to do so require hooking up to my computer and pushing images to my phone using fastboot. Is there a flashable ZIP or two out there that may work or am I at a dead end?

Thanks,

Have you tried installing PDA Net on your computer and allow it to reinstall the drivers for you? PDA Net came thru as a real life saver for many people who had driver issues on the NS4G.

Otherwise there is an Odin package out there which again requires the use of your computer. There is no flashable zip that will allow you to return to bone stock, relock the device, etc.... You still need computer access to do that.

Best you could look for is finding a stockish custom ROM based on the official JB release.
