Coming from Lumia 950, I miss a few things from the lumia (this may be surprising for some folks lol).
First is the native weather display on the glance screen (ambient display on the pixel). On the Lumia, native weather app will display on the glance screen with simplicity yet adequate information. I wish pixel could have native weather displayed as well.
2. The hide soft key on the Lumia. It is native, and works perfect. I tried installing a few apps on the pixel for same task, but non worked real well.
3. How the flash works in dark. On the Lumia, it flashes more like what a camera does, usually a quick 2 bright flash (it's got a three tone flash as well). On the pixel, although seldom needed the flash's aid, when needed, it kept the LED on for a good few seconds before it shoots. This may be due to the brightness of the flash (the Lumia is quite a bit brighter), but I don't really like the way it works in the dark. Makes me feel awkward since the long brightness attacks other's attention.
4. and last, and this is bugging me so much that I'm not sure if I'll keep the pixel for long- the fragile rear glass. I'm never a phone case person as I like the phone as is. But with the pixel, a case is essential. To prevent scratches on the supposedly G4 glass (which probably isn't) is easy, and I like a few offerings on textured protection sheets for the glass, but there is no way to protect the glass from breaking without having a case, which also adds bulk to the phone. I can't figure out why google decided having such a weird design other than wanting their selling cycle to roll faster. If they want glass, they could have not had the glass extend higher than its metal casing. I really don't think the pixel can stand any drop on concrete with back facing down. (how many people never dropped their phone say, for a year? I am extremely careful with my phones, but my Lumia was knocked off from my hand by my wife once, a little after its one year anniversary. If that was the pixel, the rear glass gotta have broken.) Plus, IF the glass does not extend over the camera lens, I'd "probably" be okay living with having a pieve of cracked glass, but there are already a couple of reports on reddit from people having cracks right through their camera.
Enough complaining... The phone does feel very smooth, screen is vibrant, battery life is good for me, and the main camera is great, front camera is very good also. App variety far superior to what windows has to offer. I finally have all the banking apps. (Although perhaps being a windows phone person for too long, I am kind of used to not having too many apps.) I like how metal casing feels.
