Revive every-5-minute audio calendar notification?

I like to not dismiss or snooze calendar notifications and just let them repeat every 5 minutes. This is especially valuable if I happen to be driving and can't place hands on the screen. Unfortunately, the update seems to have eliminated this feature. I really need to find a solution.

Please note that "nag" apps that alert continuously several times a minute make me crazy.

Without (1) buying TouchDown or (2) rooting, does anyone have any apps they like?
