Rezound VS Droid Razr?

Honestly I would get the rezound over the razr one because I don't like the look of the razr and two because I hate blur even the new ui that is used isn't good. After owning a DROID incredible 2 and the droid3 I would take the dinc2 hands down. If this feels anything like it in hand with a better camera im shyer this will be a great phone. But sadly the nexus and ics call my name. But if that doesn't work out here I come rezound shoot may pick one up for a week just to try it out and see if all the hype about beats etc is worth it

I would get the Rezound over the Razr, between those two. Moto need to redesign their phones, and unlock the boot.
I know moto and vwz are putting the blame of the locked boot on each other now

But I choosen the Nexus over the Rezound :)

I have a bionic and there are no problems with it, the people who complain about it I really doubt actualy used it. Its a great phone and if I dont like the razr then I will get another bionic. The Bionic is wicked fast.

that said, I dont think the non removeable battery is an issue, my Xoom is the same way...its not an issue

Non removable battery can be a problem if
you need to spend a lot of time in the field or if you have to force a reboot on a locked up device.
It should never be a problem, but unfortunately it can be.

Implying having a non removable battery in a phone is anything like having a non removable battery in a tablet is kind of ridiculous.

Rabble rabble rabble.

I say the Razr, I too call the Rezound Vigor. But the Vigor sounded good on paper and here it is, it looks disappointing. I loved HTC for ever and now I think Moto can beat them with this phone. It's whatever floats your boat. Good luck.

I currently have a DInc. Upgraded to the Droid 3 when it came out, returned due to several issues. Bought the Bionic when it came out, sold on Ebay due to Many issues. I'm really not happy with Moto and their new phones. I'm not sure if it's just me, software, or hardware. But after two new phones being sold/returned. I'm going to stay way from Moto for a while.

I'm torn between the Vigor and Galaxy Nexus.

I'm trying to decide between the GN and the Rezound. The non-removable battery (being able to pop in a fresh battery when needed is one of the biggest benefits of Android phones IMO), lower resolution screen and most likely locked boot loader took the RAZR out of contention.

Not an easy choice as they both seem to have some advantages and disadvantages. The GN's lack of SD slot, it's lack of dedicated home/menu/back buttons (yes I know it is part of ICS but not one I'm happy about it's nice to use the home key/manual FC combo when an app locks rather than having to pull the battery.) together with the Rezound's f/2.2 lens, Sense (I actually like it) untill we get good custom ROMs and HTCs battery life issues (less noticeable on custom ROMs)...

I guess I'll wait until both phones are available; as for your choice I would obviously pick the Rezound.

If I were not already in a contract, and on Sprint, and already have a great phone, I'd buy the Rezound hands down. It may be part of my anti-motorola design bias coming out here, but I just don't care for anything about the RAZR, much like I didn't care for the original flip way back in the day. I don't know what it is, I just don't like Moto phones.

Having the Droid X, I am soooo jumping the Moto ship and boarding the HTC one. I do love my X. BUT I dislike Motorola and I am not going to get ANOTHER phone with that stupid camera bump! Plus the edges on the Razr looks ridiculous!! I have been waiting for an HTC phone that was as big as my X, while the Thunderbolt is, it just did not appeal to me and the Inc2 looked great but just not big enough!

I had the droid x and would never go back to the constant rebooting. All of their phones have this issue hopefully the Rezound is better than the Thunderbolt!

I would get the htc over a moto solely for the fact that htc bootloaders are easily cracked and some of the most developed for phones out there.

I've order the razr, but if it don't fit my needs I will exchange it for the rezound or gnex

Popped into the local VZ store and the rep had one out that she just bought for her mom. I was in a bit of a hurry but played with the Razr for a bit. It is real nice phone, no lag, great screen. It is BIG - tall and wide. Not sure how it would be holding on one handed for a long time and definitely not pocketable unless you have big cargo pants pockets. Still waiting for Rezound and GNex before making a final decision - two years is a long time and I can wait a few more weeks before making a final decision.

The Rezound is deceptively thin. For some reason it feels less cumbersome than a Thunderbolt and feels good in the hand. Maybe it's the edges on the back and the fact it's not super wide. It's also got a nice chrome-like strip around the bezel. Topnotch build quality overall. Camera is fantastic and the screen is incredibly sharp. If you've been spoiled by a Retina Display, you'll find it to be right at home.

The RAZR has an even better build and it is fast. Even with Motorola's UI, it's a snappy phone. The camera is decent and the screen is high-res enough, but leaves a little bit to be desired because of the Pentile screen. I'd say a big reason anyone would by this is for the design and speed over anything else.

I've noticed the Rezound doesn't run as smoothly as the RAZR at times, in particular when using third-party launchers. LauncherPro just flies on the RAZR. With static wallpaper and the 3D app drawer effect turned on, it's buttery smooth. Can't say the same for the Rezound. I mean it's nice enough, smooth, but it just doesn't feel as fast and with a live wallpaper? Forget it, the Rezound is stutter central, while the RAZR, while no longer buttery smooth, is much more adept at handling it all.

So which would I pick? The RAZR. It's fast, thin and hits the mark in most areas. If I adored the Sense interface or wanted the best camera, I'd stick with the Rezound. If I wanted the best of both worlds, however, I'd wait for the Galaxy Nexus. In fact, that's exactly what I'm doing. ;)

Picked the rezound up yesterday about 2 pm and it had about a 20% charge. After 3.5 hours of heavy use “setting up, surfing and playing music” the battery was down to nothing. The battery took about an hour and a half to fully charge. I’m not expecting great battery life for the next couple of weeks since that’s what it took the battery in my DX to even out. I thought the whole beats thing was a marketing ploy but I was wrong. It boosts the volume and really enhances the music! This phone is fast and smooth. We have great 4g coverage in this area so surfing off wi-fi was very fast. This is my first HTC with sense so I am still getting use to it but so far I am very pleased!

I carry my Thunderbolt in my pocket, with a Seidio Active case on it (which adds a little bulk). I wear slim fit jeans. I have no issues pocketing/unpocketing. I really think thinness is overrated, especially when it warrants compromises (no removable battery, awkwardly placed ports, etc).
Your being modest that extended battery pack looks like a backpack was put on the phone. Thinness is overrated but yet you wear skinny jeans ?
