Rezound VS Droid Razr?

What do you mean? Spec wise the rezound screen is far better.

Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk

He thinks the RAZR screen is better because....to his eyes... it is. Everyone wont think the Rezound screen is better. The screens will be strictly preference, been that way for years and it wont change with the Rezound.

Its Amoled vs. LCD all over again...lol. I used to be in the LCD camp last year....until I saw that the RAZR screen, Pentile is no where near as bad as some ppl make it. And I see why so many ppl like Amoled screens....the colors....blacks...lol. Outdoor viewing is nice too.... I still hear the Bionics is better outside tho.

And the cpu, gpu things doesnt matter. For folks that care about benchmarks...the RAZR does seem to be on par or better. As always its about real world use tho.

AMEN! And yes the Bionic screen is a lot easier to see in the sunlight than many others.

I just switched from the RAZR. No doubt its a great phone. I just like the Rezound better. I feel like the RAZR screen is a little oversaturated when compared to the Z. Its almost is if Bestbuy's TV Department got hold of the RAZR and cranked up the display settings and the Z looks as if it was calibrated and profiled... which more often than not looks duller when compared to the RAZR. No doubt people have and will prefer the RAZR's display and AMOLED in general. I like the Z's "natural" color display along with being able to read small text.

As for the Pentile debate goes.... it similar to the sausage debate. Sausage is great until you find out how it's made. :)

I find Moto Droids in general to be "industrial" in their design, while HTCs seem to be a little more "refined" to me. The thiness of the RAZR does nothing for it ergonomicly speaking. The Z feels way way better in the hand.

The unnatural colors is what some love but I am with you and prefer more natural colors.

For those who have had both; the Razr and the Rezound, which has the stronger radio for calls? That is by no doubt my biggest concern. (LTE is the lowest concern on my list since it will not be here until 2013, if even then.)

Thanks,

Thanks,

I don't have a RAZR but I do have a Bionic and Bionic blows the Rezound (and TBolt) away.

Thanks....
I really like the Rezound, but where I live a strong radio is a must. Just traveled up into the mountains with someone who had an DINC 2. Both of us on bluetooth calls, my X kept a signal at least five miles further then the Dinc2. Got a little static in some areas, but still strong enough to hear and they could hear me.

Oh well...looking more like a Razr....

JMHO, but all manufacturers have issues with their 4g phones. I have had 5 Bolts & none of them were as bad as the Bionic I had for 3 days! I am not saying the Bionic is bad in itself, but they can have issues too. The Bionic had a much better screen in the daylight. Data was a bsolutely horrible when I was in a 4g area. I am not a Bolt fanboy, I just tell it like I see it. Razr definitely doesn't cut it with a battery you can't replace or pull if you have some of those issues that the Bionic is experiencing .... like mine did :( The Rezound will have some issues also, nothing real serious yet, but wait a little while & we'll see. I am also very positive that the Razr will not be perfect either ;) Go to a store & handle them both & then decide :)

Cheers :)

Personally, I have handled them. The Razr fells like a skinny X, the Rezound feels a little chubby, but that is not bad. I do like the Rezound screen better, but for me it boils down to the device is first and foremost a phone.

Where I live a phone can save your life; one reason why I keep Onstar activated on my vehicle. The range of Onstar vs. any cell phone is a heck of a lot better. But that is comparing 3 watts with an antenna on top of a roof to a .6 watt unit with an antenna in your hand.:D However, those Onstar minutes are a lot more expensive than my Verizon cell phone account minutes.:(

Let me qualify what I just said by saying that I am NOT in an LTE area (yet). LTE is on the 700 Mhz spectrum vacated by over the air television so it could be completely different.I won't know till Dec 15 when LTE launches here.

It's always been my experience that Motorola and RIM/Blackberry had the best radios in the business.

so far my razr has been head and shoulders better than my tbolt about keeping a 4g signal or just a good signal period . the rezound will have to step it up if it will compete with the razr. after the debacle with the tbolt and having to work through all the issues waiting for updates I'll be waiting awhile before get my wife the rezound .

Had some time to play with both the Rezound and Razr today. I have to say that I was prepared to not like the Razr, coming from a Thunderbolt, but found it to be buttery smooth, and of course as everybody describes, increadibly thin. The non-removeable battery has me concerned although, it appears most people are getting decent life with typical usage. The width doesn't bother me, and thyat width is actually nice to have when viewing web pages in portrait mode.

I am one of those people that like Sense, but I can only assume that it is what is preventing the Rezound from seeming as smooth and fast compared to the Razr. I will say the Rezound feels good in my hand and the additional thickness is not a big deal to me.

For me the single biggest difference between the two is the screens. I immediately noticed that the text on the Rezound was clearer and everything was more crisp looking. Here's where things got interesting, the display Razr was set to 100% brightness and the Rezound to Auto. With these settings, the Razr held its own side by side with the exception of the clearer and crisper text. When I set the Razr to Auto brightness, it quite frankly looked like crap compared to the Rezound, very yellow looking tint.

The truth is at Auto brightness settings, my Thunderbolt screen looked better than did the Razr screen. I've heard some people say that the Razr screens vary quite a bit, but has anyone else noticed how bad the Razr screen looks on Auto brightness compared to the Rezound?
