Thanks , so any brand will work? I know when getting cables for my s4 phone I have read some have had problems with certain non Samsung cables

If it can carry data, it can carry charge. It may be worth looking at reviews, but you're not going to find a "charge only" usb cable.

There are some cables that are too thin to carry the full current to charge some devices, so that's why it's good to read the reviews, but any cable that can carry data should be able to carry at least some charge, though it may be at a slower rate. That's where the reviews are good, though not perfect.
