Right Watch for Me?

Did some research last night to try and find a watch that fits my needs. I believe this is one that seems to check the boxes.

However, I want to be sure.

I will be replacing my Note 8 with this watch, and I am on Verizon.

I need to be able to:

Do hands-free Google Voice texting and calls

Use Google Maps reliably

Use Google Play Music (downloading for offline use possible at all?)

Reliable Bluetooth connection

And it would be great if I could use my "Smart AudioBook Player" I have on my phone to play audio files from books. I'm not sure if that is a possibility?

Wear OS watches are more of an accessory o a phone than replace the phone entirely. Most of the functionality won't work without the phone.

There is no Google Voice support on the watch at all.

Use Google Maps reliably

You can but functionality is extremely limited. And if you use it stand alone, the battery probably last only one hour or so.

Use Google Play Music (downloading for offline use possible at all?)

You have to download to phone first. Then use the phone's Play Music app to push the song to the watch. The process is not very intuitive and given the small storage space on the watch, you probably won't store much on the watch.

Unless your phone app has the watch companion app, it won't play on the watch.

If you are serious into using the watch as media player, te battery life will be very short. And Wear OS still is not very good at stand alone operations.

And since you are on Verizon, make sure you get the Verizon specific version. Otherwise, LTE radio won't work.
