ring tone

I am new to the eris. I just downloaded a ringtone and set it a default. But now when I receive an email I get that same ring tone. this I dont want. How can I keep my default ring tone for calls but have a different notifier for email received

Open your Messaging app, Menu, Settings, Notifications, Select your notifier/ringtone.
