Ringer fades

When my phone rings, it starts out very loud, and then quickly fades away. I've used the same ringtone on another phone, so I doubt it has anything to do with the ringtone. Is this a setting, or is my phone being weird?

The ringer should be loud until the end. I know you said you have used the same ringtone before but try and change the ringtone to something else and see if it persists.

*sigh* nevermind, it was a bad download. Found a better version of the same ringtone, and all is well.
