Rings before voicemail

Is there a way to control how many rings before a call goes to voicemail? Seems like I'm only ringing 3 times before it goes to voicemail... very frustrating.

It depends on the carrier... on Sprint, for instance, you cannot. I just switched to Verizon, so for them I am not sure yet.

I don't know where they got this time, but with Sprint it's 23 seconds, and it can't be controlled/changed from the phone.

I dont beleive it can be changed with verizon either
