Ringtone, notification sounds, etc. changing at random

Has anyone seen the problem on their Inspire that all of the sounds change completely at random? I've had this happen a bunch of times lately. I'll download a sound set from HTC, apply it and it works great for a while. Then all of the sudden I'll get a new email and it plays a random song from my library. Then I'll go look at the sound settings and they are all randomly set. Any thoughts? I'm running all stock firmware, not rooted, etc.

Have you removed and reinserted your sd card recently?

Do you notice any problems with your sd card mounting properly?

If you are choosing sounds from your sd card, that could be the reason.

No. The SD card stays in there. The soundsets are downloaded from HTC Hub and I think they are stored on the internal memory. The music that it's choosing is on the SD card.

yes!! I have this problem too...I didn't have it until I had a warranty exchange and got a new inspire through radioshack....I figured they gave me a badly refurbished one and didn't think there was anything I could do. but it is very annoying and constantly changing. I download stuff from zedge, movie quotes and whatnot....although they are not all appropriate for a work environment when my phone suddenly decides that's my new notification sound. and just right now for the first time, it played a voice recording from several weeks ago!

Yeah it all happened to me, downloaded sounds from zedge, voice recordings, songs from my music library. It helps to reset to a default and then select ringtones and notifications from your contact application and not zedge or voice recording application. That way if either of these third party apps get altered or updated your sound set wound get FUBAR.
