Did the way ringtones are seen by the OS change after the GB update? I have media/ringtones, media/alarms, media/alerts, etc. directories on the SD card that I used to pull ringtones from on Froyo, but after the update nothing from the media directory shows when I try to add them as my default anything (ringtone, alert, so on).
Can someone confirm that that feature still works on their phones, or point me to what I might be doing wrong?
I do have the ".nomedia" file in a few of those directories, but it definately didn't affect it in Froyo, plus i've tested deleting that file, with no luck. One note: I didn't remove it from all the directories, so maybe that .nomedia is recursive? It's just curious to me that it worked on Froyo, and now it's not on GB, no changes to the SD card except for the changes I mentioned above...
No root, Stock phone...
Maybe another, possibly dumb , question... How does everyone else get custom ringtones to be seen?
