ringtone stops on incoming calls

I've noticed my ringtone which is just a standard one will ring for a second then stop and just shows the number. I am using free video caller ID for only 3 contacts and I don't think it's blocking the ringtone so I don't know what to think. I tested again by calling my phone through skype and it made the ringtone for a second as expected however follow up calls it didn't even sound. Any help would be appreciated.

Fixed the problem but deleting the app "video caller id (free)". I suppose it was regulating the default android ringtone after all and only letting the established 3 contacts I had videos for call me without problems.
