Ringtones? Custom Notifications?

Ok - so I made a media/audio/notifications and media/audio/ringtones folder on my SD card but I don't see the ringtones or notifications when I go in to the settings

am I missing something here?

yeah but can you use your personal ringtones on the calender,emails or do you have to use their stupid notifications?

Make a "notifications" folder and put any sound files you want in it. You then see them available for those actions.

THX I did the sub folders now I just need a separate option for my main contacts to set different notifications for each persons sms or email.

You can set individual ringtones, but not SMS/email notification sounds. I'm not certain, but I think Handcent will let you do this.

Yes it does I've been using it for an hour and it rocks. Now I need to find one for emails. THX my life is easier now, I don't have to check sms that I don't recognize.
