Ringtones not working

[Android Central Question]

I've always used Zedge for ringtones and notifications but since I got this phone LG thinq7 Verizon, I can't get any ringtone to play. When my phone rings it either vibrates or is silent. It does show up on settings that I have a ringtone set.

Welcome to Android Central! If you go to the menu to select a ringtone, does it play the sample for you normally?

Ringtone going silent
POSSIBLY SOLVED.
just made this change a couple of hours ago
no guarantee it will work for you. And i definitely wont know for a few days if it worked for me
