Ringtones showing up in music apps

Hi all,

I'm having a bit of an issue with custom ringtones/notifications on my Nexus 4.

When I put new ringtones or notifications on my device, they show up in my music apps (Google Play, Amazon mp3, etc). I've already done a search, and discovered that using a .nomedia file in the relevant directories stops this from happening. HOWEVER, when I use this method, it also stops the ringtones/notifications showing up in my selection lists . So, I can't choose my newly added files for custom ringtones/notifications :/

Ack, never mind.

I re-added the ringtones/notifications, and everything magically works as it should (the ringtones/notification files no longer show up in my music apps).
