Ringtones won't work from sd card on BLU Life One X (2016 model)

I just purchased a BLU Line One X (2016 model) and I have a 64GB sd card installed. I have a folder for ringtones which contains a number of mp3 ringtones that I made. I can play the ringtones but when I select one of them to be the default ringtone I get the default BLU (telephone) ringtone instead. How do I get my personal ringtones to work from my sd card? Thanks. By the way, selecting a ringtone from the sd card on my BLU Studio 6.0 HD phone work just fine.

Welcome to Android Central! Try copying the ringtone files to the Ringtones directory on the phone's Internal Storage. Then go through the process of selecting a custom ringtone.

I have the same problem. Some people fixed it by creating a new audio profile, but that doesn't work for me. Oh well, not the biggest bug in the world

Welcome to Android Central! Sometimes you have to reboot the phone after moving the tone to the Ringtones directory. Did you try that?

It' a known bug when using a sd card.
