Yes trust me I went round and round with Dell on that situation.. They claim the last one I got and this new one are brand new, but they are stamped as refurbs because they "image" the hard drive with your OS and factory installed software so they can't market it as "new".

Bottom line I told the rep I spoke with in their complaint department and told them this sends a very poor signal to the quality of the parts coming out of Dell and the overall reliability of their hardware. They don't care though, they have your money so its water under the bridge to them... In the end I told him I will make sure I get the word out about the poor quality of service I have received and it shouldn't matter to them since my complaint doesn't seem to phase them either...

Anyways.. Give me a few days I'll whip something up for ya.

Just a little update...

framework-res.apk & systemui.apk are done...

I should be able to wrap up Settings/launcher & other little things tomorrow.

Settings.apk is done...

Stock keyboard, launcher and phone dialer shouldn't take very long... I may look at a new area or something to play with before dropping it... We'll see what I can find.

I will attack 1.6.0 as soon as they drop it. I downloaded it for my NS4G so I could flash it and see what they have cooked up but it won't boot past the Google screen. Now I see codenameandroid's site is down and the download links aren't responding.. Soo when they get things straightened out I'll get back at it.
