road runner email driving me up a wall.e-mail keeps shwoing back up.

First I had the problem of e-mail being deleted once I opened it. Currently the problem is that even after I delete e-mails off my phone, they show back up and I have to delete them over and over again. Not only is this annoying but i feel like it is using precious data. I checked the e-mail settings and it is set to delete "when i delete from inbox." I would like to be able to pick and choose the e-mails I keep on my phone (managed seperatkly from on my home desktop) but this is becoming a real chore. I had Blackberrys prior and my email was always managed just fine (don't even get me started on the loss of BES for my office mail - that is a whole other issue).

Suggestions?

I had a similar issue when I was using the stock email app with Comcast. I wo5hld delete from the phone but leave them on the server and they would reappear on the phone. This did not happen with my Droid Bionic. I switched to K9 email app and the problem disappeared. I can now deleted on the phone, leave the email on the server and they do not reappear on ghe phone.
