I've never noticed that -- what forum option are you selecting to see that?
Oh excuse me, I have to go to the restroom because some oil is leaking -- UH I MEAN I have to take a leak.

the different online searches always had the ability to search forums so if some ai robot is doing it, good for them

I just did it and see a lot of "Guests". Took going a second page in to see the first "Robot". But then a refresh, and a "Robot" was at the top. I see Bing, Applebot, Google AdSense, and Proximic. To name a few.
If you click on, for example, ”Proximic", it pulls up a page where you can see it's a web-crawler.

Interesting! I'm guessing "Guest" means anyone not logged in who is viewing a particular thread. The Robots are presumably search engine bots that are gathering info for results or AI-generated answers. But all things considered, it's not very useful to see that information, especially if you're looking for specific members. Maybe @Bla1ze can shed more light on this.

On a PC, on the left side, I think when on the 'Forum List', if you scroll-down a skosh, there's something like ... Members, or Currently Viewing, or something. I don't recall right now, and I'm mobile.

This is exactly it. "Guests" = Not logged in users. "Robots" = Site crawlers, etc. We do block some Robots which are considered bad, that's why the ones you see are from largely reliable sources. Google, Bing, Amazon etc.
As for bots answering questions, I'm sure there's *some * of that given the proliferation of AI and there's surely some folks using AI to answer questions on their own just like how they would Google something, but remember, they have to have an active account so there is some human component there and well, part of my job (Not the Mods) is to monitor for those things and get rid of them because excessive AI bots are really bad for websites. They hoover up our content, use up resources that could be going to real people, etc.

Ah, thanks for shedding light and explaining!
I can imagine how AI bots are a huge drain on website resources.Or, even a huge dragon, like my phone naturally just thought would be a better word to insert, rather than 'drain'
