Just got a firmware update today. Will check for changes after the update is complete.

- OS is still 4.0.4
- Notification colours appear to be fixed. Apps that use the LED's show the right colours.
- baseband version is different so I guess the phone software is updated.
- brightness slider and auto brightness toggle added to notification shade

This is what the update said. I'm new to the S3 and updates, weird that it doesn't really tell you what is being updated.

"Upgrading *may* improve the performance". Way to go out on a limb there.

I connected using kies and it says my current firmware is:

PDA:LE8 / PHONE:LE8 / CSC:LE8 (TLS)

Looks like I don't have the latest firmware and I'm not getting it, at least not yet.

Anyone have any ideas as to why?

Thanks.

I notice in brackets you have (TLS) whereas I had (RWC)..are you with Telus? I'm trying to decipher those codes and I assumed TLS = Telus while RWC = Rogers Wireless Corp

People on Telus have been reporting getting the update, so I don't think so. I guess I'll have to wait and see what happens.

It's funny, I have no ota update and no kies update. There are several links to download the file using Odin, but I'm not rooted, so I don't think it'll work, or will it?

I am on Rogers and got the update on Monday night...also noticed some differences in the camera. There are a few more options on screen it seems.

Plus in addition to what others have posted of course. If anyone comes across anything else please be sure to post it up.
