Ready to flash..... since we need to flash this thru ODIN, do I extract the file first? or just flash as is?

I don't know why you're not getting it. When I click on new message I have a screen that has the to: box, the type to compose box, the keyboard below the type to compose box, and below the to: box I have three greay shaded clickable boxes from left to right - Recent, Contacts, Group. Can anyone else help out and let us know what you see when you click on "new message" in the stock sms program?

In the factory SMS I am not getting the grey boxes you're talking about.

I use Handcent anyway though.

I use handcent too, but my stock program has those boxes. Can anyone else chime in as to what they see when they click on new message in the stock sms program? We need to find out if anyone who is not seeing this got a bad download of the ROM.

Once again, .tar and .bin files are flashed through ODIN, .zip files are flashed through CWM.

Other than my 4Tab lock screen reboot I had everything is running smoothly.

I'll try reflashing from a mirror and see if I get the boxes.

i use handcent, but when i open stock click new message, I cant add anyone by clicking the box. is there another way?

Edit:you just start typing a contacts name and the number pops up......I dont have other boxes like u descibed though

I've read all ths posts in this thread, my eyeballs are hurting lol....

If I already have the CWM all do I need to reflash it thru odin after the radio but before the rom?

Yes EC01 modem through ODIN.

I'm pretty sure you need to flash CWM one more time after you flash EC01 to flash the rom in CWM.

Have you previously flashed the cwm-recovery-all-3-30-fix file? If so, no need to flash it again. Flash EC01 radio in ODIN, if you're not already running that latest cwm-all file, close ODIN, pull usb, reopen ODIN, connect usb, flash cwm-all, close ODIN, pull usb cord, put battery back in phone, do three button press to boot directly to cwm, wipe cache and dalvik, flash community rom, reboot

I got away with just wiping cache and dalvik.

Just cache and dalvik as long as you don't run into problems. If you get problems, full wipe, then reflash.

EDIT - maybe this is where some people are running into problems, Adrynalyne said in the first post a data wipe/factory reset is recommended for this ROM. Anyone who has already flashed with no problems, I would say just ride it out. Anyone flashing from this point forward may want to take Adrynalyne's suggestion into consideration.

Man I'm sorry, I guess I'm just slow, but I don't see contacts when I click on new message ..I just get the to: box and the keyboard like normal ..normally I'd click on the to box to choose who I wanted to message, whether it was 1 or multiple ppl but I don't see contacts from within the sms program

Yeah I'm not a fan of the new Messaging as well.

When I recieve MMS it doesn't show on the thread screen. I have to click the "play" button. When I do the picture shows up small and closes in 7 seconds. :'(

me neither, only getting the to box and the compose box, dont see the 3 other boxes mentioned, i remember seeing them on previous Roms i had flashed. Should i reflash over and see what happens?
