[ROM][5.07.2011][ED01]Community Rom V1.3

jj---did you data wipe after install? If not then you might consider it.

For now, Enable all gps options in settings (including vzw locations), not from status bar, and wifi..should lock pretty accurately.

Yes, it was wiped. I will try all three locked...

It worked with all three locked.. Thank you

Possible solution - select a default alarm again in Calendar settings, you will not get the FC again.

Since I was using a default alarm already.....I thought to myself ya right this will work.:-\ But in true AC form it worked like a charm thank you Landshark and the others for you solutions and suggestions.

Okay...so I was on sc 2.9.2v and I went back to DL09. Then I did the OTA update to EA28 and the official Froyo update. I just realized that lagfix was setup for voodoo and I never changed it? Is this a problem? If so how do I fix it? The phone is working right now as I was able to download both updates.

You will be fine then. When you flash that package it wipes everything and has to set it all back up fresh again so it removes the lagfix anyway. Some people just prefer and recommend disabling lagfix prior as an extra safety precaution. But sounds like you're perfectly good to go if everything is working fine and the updates rolled in fine.

Screen capture patch

Any chance someone could tell me how to use the screen capture patch after I flash it?

I'm running the official froyo from VZW. I want to go to ComRom. Is it voodoo and do I need to touch the lagfix (if so am I enabling or diabling it)? Also, can someone point me to the cwm where it boots in red at each start up?

There is no need to change the lagfix at all. When you install Comm Rom 1.3 it will automatically turn it on for you. As for the link for the CWM this is it CWM 3.x Fix Once you flash this in with odin, boot directly too it and wipe your davlik and cache. Once done then install zip from sd and choose the comm rom 1.3 once installed do a cache wipe again and reboot.

Edit: I placed the link for a longer way...Here is the shortcut to get CWM CWM 3.x Fix all

Actually she should do a data wipe after installing the Comm ROM in order to enable the GPS config enhancements.

kind of a silly question, but does anybody have any input about the gps enhancements? i did no data wipe after installing com rom and my gps seems to work fine as long as i have wifi enabled. i for some reason feel like i will mess something up if i do a data, as ive never done one before.

ComRom is voodoo, but will do the lagfix for you. The newest CWM can be found right here:

[RECOVERY][ODIN][ZIP][4.22.11]Voodoo CWM 3.x UPDATED 5.8.11 - xda-developers

It's a version newer Than the cwm recovery all, which is the one you were referring to and have in that list you sent me. (so you can get rid of that one too...)

The data wipe is painless, provided you have everything backed up. And 1.3's GPS fixes require the data wipe after install to activate. The reason you are getting a "GPS" lock with wifi is that Google maps can use some basic information from the wifi networks your phone detects to provide a location. Doing the data wipe will let you still get a lock even with the wifi off. Make sure after you wipe and restore everything, you enable all three location services in settings in order for it to work.
