[ROM] Android Open Kang Project

So far so good. Wiped cache/dalvik/system and installed b36
Restored from Google though had to use appextractor for some user app data
Leaving bug mailer on, let's see what happens!!

Be careful with restoring app data, however. If your phone starts getting freaky, that's the first place to look!

One day of no bug mailers after performing surgery on the case to remove the button covering.
I am hopeful :)

So I installed AOKP Build 36 with AXIOM Morph on top, along with franco kernal, very nice! I came from codename 1.5.
So I have a few random questions.

1. looks like swagger doesn't do anything functionally to the phone?! haha
2. fast charge, i have that toggle option in my status bar. so can i leave it on all the time? or just use it when i need a quick charge? I keep my phone connected to my computer USB all day at work to keep it at 100%. not sure if keeping fast charge will be harmful.
3. I saw an option for some Wi-Fi boost, but i can't seem to find it. I wasn't sure if that boosted your ability to latch onto a wi-fi signal or if it boosted the wi-fi tether...
4. i uninstalled volume+ and use beats by dre app, but it doesn't seem to boost the speaker volume like volume+ did. anyone have any tips on that? i change the equalizer to max as well.
5. i also installed franco's kernal. which governor do you recommend? i just want the one where one of the cores turns off when screen is off, which i think i set in settings.

A while the first time imho. Maybe a minute or two. If that doesn't work reflash the rom

Ran for over ten minutes. I then did battery pull. Never did run the Gapps zip. Using
Rom manager, install Milestone 5 zip, when it starts up in goes to the unicorn and just sits there.

so I reinstalled, installed milestone zip, then gapps zip, still in endless teak kang logo mode

Have you tried flashing directly using Clockworkmod? Flashing ROMs via ROM Manager can cause issues.

Those are the directions I followed yesterday. Just did again, 18 minutes with the team kang unicorn and counting ...

That's definitely too long. Did you confirm the md5 checksums of the ROM and gapps files that you downloaded?

did yesterday, but today downloaded new copies from the links

It's rare to get a bad download but confirm that your latest downloads are good.

So after booting into Clockworkmod recovery, are these the steps you're following?

1. Wipe data/factory reset
2. Wipe cache
3. Wipe Dalvik cache
4. Flash the ROM zip
5. Flash the Gapps zip
6. Reboot

Anyone notice that in b35 you can add audio to your boot animation? Freaking sweet! I played with it last night. I have the original Nexus animation with the sound of a thunderstorm playing. I've been waiting for this feature for awhile.

Downloaded from different site, ran above and worked, less than a minute in boot up screen, faster than stock> Thank you

one of my least favorite things about the thunderbolt was the thunder clap sound on boot. :)

So, how exactly would I go about changing the boot animation back to the original Galaxy Nexus boot animation?
