Nah the lg is locked. The opening lg logo cannot be removed unless someone unlocks the bootloader. Think s-on on htc devices.

To be honest not a whole lot has changed. Basically I implemented terminal and a way to change fonts (there's like 100 plus previews of them) into settings. I also touched up the red bootanimation to make it sharper and crisper. I cleaned the rom up a little bit and decided to make v2.0 official to start on the next round of tweaks. I got tired of working under the 1.x constructs. V2.0 is an awesome final. I'm going to touch up the cyan theme some while red is in beta over at androidarea51. I plan to make v2.0 public to vips Thursday or Friday and public to everyone else this weekend.

Ahh okay. Well your gettting a helluva lot more then I am. Im trying so hard to get this radio to work on CM7 and I just cant seem to get it. No matter what.

You said CM9 might be able to run..... anyway to find a "REPO" or something we could work on?

To be honest man... I've tried a LOT to get it running. I think its the kernel to be honest. I think the issues are qualcomm specific data missing from the kernel.

Someone give me a boot.img from a Slider rom (not Gingerkernel) please. I'll go ahead and make AreaRomQ for the Slider as well. I just need to edit the kernel some to enable init.d support.

Lol... use the info I gave in the thread "so you want to dev kernels" on here. And you'll need linux. The issue is we need a viable repo to build the libs and (I'm assuming) we need to edit the ramdisk to implement the qualcomm data. Ie unbootimg both the stock kernel and the cm7 kernel and hand edit the ramdisk to apply the qualcomm data. I suggest you use rhg's kernel as the base not the one I attempted to edit.

Ok so I installed this rom and the gingerkernal on my optimus slider, and now I cannot receive pictures -_-
I just get a txt message from the number 999-999-9999 with a bunch of gibberish. So the phone must be treating the picture as a txt message and trying to display it...
Not sure why its doing this.

I've had this problem too, but didn't realize what it was.

This is a definite deal-breaker for this rom. If this isn't fixed in the 2.0 release, I'm gonna have to switch roms.

It's Q rom, not a Slider rom.. next time check what phone the rom is meant for before posting that it doesn't work, you should've expected problems from the moment you thought of flashing this rom. Have you even swapped the boot.img with one from a Slider rom? Did you tweak the build.prop with the proper edits from the Slider? See if that works, it should work that way if I'm not mistaken, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Yeah you're right LeoLawiet I should have considered that it would not be flawless on the slider.
I actually just switched to the Mobster ROM for the time being. Might try this one again in the future.
