[ROM][AOSP][10/31][JB] Bugless Beast VZW Galaxy Nexus

I'll hit the home button or back out of an app and end up on the screen to the left of my home screen. It shows up empty, in which I have plenty of widgets and apps on. I'll swipe over to my home screen only to have skip over two screens which also appears empty but as with the first screen should be packed full of apps and widgets. Then out of no where all by its self it reverts back to the screen I started on filling up with what I originally had on it.

Cluttered homescreens, especially with lots of widgets, can cause this. Whats happening is the launcher winds up needing a lot of memory, and since your apps do as well, Android kills the launcher to free memory.. so when you hit Home the launcher needs to load up again which takes longer the more cluttered those homescreens are. If you are using a 3rd party launcher such as Apex or Nova check the launcher settings and look around for an option to "Keep launcher in memory".. I know Apex has the option and I think Nova *should*. Checking it should force the system not to kill it and should significantly reduce the times when it has to reload it from scratch.

Also try to de-clutter those screens!

EDIT: Oh and as digitalslacker said, if you haven't done a full wipe in a while and have just been dirty flashing that can definitely contribute as well.

No dirty flashing for me I wipe every time. I decluttered (removed everything but a couple apps) and rebooted. Got Google logo loop for about 15 min till it finally went through. Running just stock launcher. G talk won't work now and android central app force closes. Bad download maybe?

Using trinity w Bb now. Much smoother than Franco r223 and Bb for me.

grab r225, it's been merged up with the latest kernel source.
seems a bit better than r223 was at least on bugless

Used the unofficial CM10 for awhile but had to come back to BB. CM10 had some nice options (which I hope BB can integrate later) but BB is so much smoother. Great rom.

Franco has been hit or miss for me on Jelly Bean. Trinity is most certainly my go to at the moment.

Do you also use the toolbox/updater related to these kernels?

Re: [ROM][AOSP][7/24][JB] Bugless Beast VZW Galaxy Nexus

I'm on the stock kernel, but while some bugs were squashed I have to say that this last BB update is slightly less smooth than the previous one (I did a complete wipe). Still better than ICS, but has a noticeable hang once in a while (I used to edit video and do compositing, so my "noticeable hang" may not bother most people).

Is it me or are we missing the keep screen on when plugged into power option? This was useful for the car.

Have a new bug does anyone have a problem sending MMS messages from pictures in the gallery. It lets me select chompsms but force closes when it opens.

I still have it. Second option under "Developer Options" in the settings menu

I'm getting that too, but only with Chomp. Stock messaging app works fine. Must be something specific to Chomp.

Anybody know why my notification panel looks like this?

Strange. My screen on with power option is greyed out under developer options. Anyone know why?
