I'm surprised there isn't a thread about this yet!

IMHO I think SavagedZen's ROM is the closest to a pure Gingerbread experience, even more so than CM7 considering SZ uses the stock GB launcher and not ADW like CM does.

**DISCLAIMER** I am NOT taking credit in making this!! I am just helping its reach by bringing it over to AC. Again, I am NOT taking any credit!!

heres the link to its xda page: [ROM][AOSP][GB 2.3.3] Savaged-Zen(MOD) [RC2]

here are a few screenshots from my EVO:

Looking at your signature, it looks like you use CM7 and the SZ rom, and multiple kernels including SZ and Tiamat.. Any particular setup give you better battery life over the other?

on SZ ROM, I use SZ kernel b/c the ROM is specifically made to work with that kernel so I'm not gonna switch it over to Tiamat since i don't know what that will do :p

but on CM7 i used both SZ and Tiamat and I liked Tiamat better.

as of right now, I havent seen any huge difference...I've been messing around with the settings so the battery life isn't what I want yet...then again...I did flash it with 50% life left :p

I'll give you the settings I have it on and how the battery life is in an update tomorrow :)

I tried out this rom before I updated to Miui 1.4.8. Its nice and it is very stock Gingerbread. I used it for 3 days. Everything works on it and it has a couple of kewl features that I liked.

One that really stood out was the Savages Zen settings. The part for controlling things like SBC or no SBC.

Sent from my MIUI havin, Gingerbread Throwing EVO

been pretty good IMO. 18.5 hrs and 50% with moderate use (wifi was on all night). My settings are as follows:

min CPU: 384
max CPU: 998

HAVS profile: SavagedZen
HAVS undervolt level: 875

i do also use Juice Defender. i have Facebook and Twitter widgets running as well (they are constantly synced automatically)

so what advantages are there over CM7?

I am running CM7 RC4. I have the GPS working, Sprint TV, few other little quirks.
