I just rooted my phone and flashed SHOstock. If youv'e rooted what i777 ROM do you recommend?

I'm surprised that in the community of rooted devices noones opinioned on a favorite ROM.

I've only ever been on CM9, so I'm partial to it

I've tried dozens of roms on my Galaxy sii and have finally (well, so far) settled on SHOstock 2. I love it

Yeah ShoStock2 is the best. Btw, have you switched to any of the latest versions? i.e. > 2.2.

Did you like the latest customizations? Moving the toggle bar to the bottom and theming popups grey? I didn't like them so much. I need to find out how to change theme files on my own.

I switched to AOKP and its amazing. Its similar looking to SHOstock but has 100x the customization. No exaggeration!!

That's awesome. I guess I should give it a try.........but ahhh, it is a little tiring to go set up everything again after a fresh install.

My original idea was to just stick with ShoStock2 until CM9 became official.

I keep bouncing back and forth between AOKP and SHOstock2. SHOstock on GB kept stock look mostly, SHOstock2 seems to be migrating towards the look and function of AOKP.

AOKP has so much more customization, but I really like the TouchWiz video player and MHL mirroring. Otherwise its basically the same, same apps.

I used to love MIUI for gingerbread, but for some reason I don't like the ICS version. Never tried CM9.

I am flashing updates or new ROMs at least weekly, if not a few times a week. I have my set up down to about 30 minutes. Titanium Backup, takes care of majority of it.

I was going for cm9 but I couldn't flash it. Then I found this and I'm getting 2x my usual battery without doing anything special. AOKP is based off of the cm9 kernel and is supposedly made based off of cm9. I might try CM9 if I could get flash instructions for it. I keep getting a (status 7) or a soft brick when it works. Any help would be useful as I'm almost a complete noob at flashing. But I can easily get around with minimum instruction.

You can flask directly from AOKP to Cyanogenmod9 without wiping data.
Battery life is no where near AOKP though.

I used AOKP but switched to ShoStock2. I loved some of the features of AOKP but I hated the contact manager. I couldn't joint similar contacts from Exchange and Gmail.

The dialer also did not allow speed dials.
