[ROM] Harmonia 1.87 Froyo (Aphrodite+Picasticks) 12June12

Did I miss something by chance....?
V 1.85 is good or is that what your fixing as far as the WiFi issue is concerned..?

Thx

1.85 works fine for older OV's.
On newer OV's they black screen

1.87 works on both, but wifi doesn't work.

1.9 works fine on both with wifi fixed.

1.9 is now up.
Wifi is fixed.
QR code for mobile downloads! (I'm now a registered dev on Goo.im!)
If/When GooManager updater supports this phone, Harmonia 1 is ready.

All users on 1.87 need to update in order to fix wifi.
Old OV users on 1.85 don't need to bother updating.
1.85 and 1.87 should be able to just flash over the top.

I fixed the links on the statusbars and such, they should all work again.

Leslie you move at rocket speed. And i also wanted to thank you for the interesting writeup on Harmonia background and history. Harmonia is really great piece of work like a made to order suit with materials procured from different speciality shops. By the way I love the very subtly artistic black background of Harmonia 1.x

Glad you like it, Driya.

Can a few of you with new screens confirm this works properly, please?
I would really like to know if the flashing is truly fixed. And while one has confirmed it worked, I would like more feedback on it than just one. No complaints is good, but not always helpful. LOL This or Rhode, if either flashes properly I would like to know.

Hi,
1.90 working fine on my newscreen hitachi froyo 2.2.2 w/zv5 radio, I haven't tried the activation app yet(that's why I installed it, eventually when I get around to activating my phone :) ) but wifi works now, very nice. Is there any possibility of getting mrg666's tinyRCU and bfs patches from IHO in your kernel? would they help any? I find those patches improve IHO fluidity/smoothness very much.
great job too.

Sounds like it works then.

If the kernel is disassembled and recompiled with those, yes, if they will work with Froyo.
An easier option is to use the whole kernel, however that will break some things.

I really don't want to tear into the kernel, it's not my thing.

kernel work is very hard. idk if it would be hard to get mrgs changes inside of it, but it would involve, most likely, having to rebuild the kernel. ive yet to see a way to decompile a kernel

I kind of figured, either way, it's a lot of work and I want to taper down work on Harmonia 1 as it is.

I've been working building a kernel for the custom Froyo roms, but the tthing that is slowing me down is not having the source for Froyo. If someone has the source code and can make a simple change in the broadconfig.mk file to make a new boot image.
The only thing is that the kernel would only work on Froyo with the zv9 update. So I may just pull in the files, and see what can be used without breaking the current Froyo kernels.

Everything you should need, I would think.

Before I flash this ROM, just wanted to double check which recoveries will work well for it. I have an old Opt V, not a newer one.

Right now, I have CWM 3.0.2.4 recovery installed. If that will not work correctly (it was not recommended for Harmonia in the past), I also found a link for Xionia_cwma_12518.4 and 12518.6, if either of these would be my best choice. I am happy to download an app from the Market to get the proper recovery.

Thanks in advance...

Followup: Finally decided that Xionia CWMA 12518.4 recovery looked like a safe bet and went with it. Harmonia ROM up and running well on my Opt V!!!

I used the Cannibal Open Touch Recovery to install Aeneas ROM which is the same as this one. It installs fine although I have not tried Backup and Restore

Why does my optimus randomly reboot when i use any rom? :(
Even with the stock nandroid backup!

Not exactly a Harmonia question but....

Backup your sdcard to your computer,. then format it IN YOUR PHONE.
Copy your info back.

If it's still unstable, install a fresh rom (do an md5 check first), and install your apps directly from the market and then restore ONLY the app data, call log and messages. NEVER restore system settings.

If all of this went right and still does it, then your phone is probably bad.
