First off, I want to mention that Markhuk deserves most of the credit being that he not only manages this sight, but owns it as well and without him we wouldn't have such a fantastic sight for the MIUI project. Thanks goes out to S-Murphy who developed this rom for the htc desire.

What is MIUI-AU?
MIUI is a radical HTC Desire (and N1) Chinese ROM ? built from Google source code, it has a similar look to the iPhone (iOS) but its still Android. As MIUI is NOT based on HTC Sense UI it is quite a different feeling after using a standard HTC Desire, but it does have a lot of similarities to Sense UI.

Things to be aware of:
This ROM is a little bit like a cross between iOS & Cyanogenmod. There is no Apps drawer, Apps & Widgets are spread on your desktop screens. To keep them organised, you should put them in Folders. If you want the Apps drawer, switch to ADW.Launcher. Those who?ve used the Cyanogen-based ROMs will feel right at home with ADW.Launcher. Read more about the features in the MIUI Manual

GPS FIX
* Check your APN settings, make sure that your default APN has the following entry in its APN Type: ?default,supl? ? without the inverted commas. This setting helps speeds up GPS fix everytime, SUPL (Secure User Plane) is defined in the GPS config of Android ROMs, particularly the Desire.
The easy way (try this first)
* Turn WiFi on
* Turn GPS on
* Open application: GPS Status (ver 3.4)
* Go into its Settings menu
* Click on Tools
* Click Manage A-GPS state
* Click Reset
* Click Manage A-GPS state again
* Click Download [You'll see a message telling you that a data connection is needed, ignore it]
* Now put your phone on a stable, straight surface in order to enable the phone to get a lock, within GPS Status. This time, you?ll see your phone get the lock way faster than before.
* Open Google Maps
The thorough way
* Turn off phone.
* Take your SIM out of the phone
* Power on the device
* Turn WiFi on
* Turn GPS on
* Open application: GPS Status (ver 3.4)
* Go into its Settings menu
* Click on GPS and Sensors
