Is there a way to enable the screen to rotate to be upside-down?

I like to put the phone in my cup-holder while driving (with Maps navigating me, of course). The phone fits best when it is in portrait orientation, but the power cable sticking from the bottom makes it difficult to balance the phone just right. If I could get the phone to rotate the screen to be "upside-down", I could put the phone in the cupholder in that orientation and use see the navigation map with ease.

So, I'm sorry for the noob question, but I cannot seem to find a definitive answer. I'm currently running Reborn (and love it btw), and Sprint has not pushed the GB OTA update yet to my phone. I've been reading that some phones have been updated automatically (with no input from the user) and other times I've seen that there are a couple of options, like restart and install and more info. From what I understand if I hit more info and then pull the battery, it should stop the update and keep the notifications from appearing. Is that still correct? Is there another way of blocking the update (like renaming the otacerts.zip file)? And does Reborn block OTA updates from installing? I just want to make sure the phone doesn't update itself and I end up with a brick one of these mornings... Thank you!

Selecting "More Info" then pulling the battery worked for me to prevent the notifications from reappearing with this ZVH update. Can't tell you if Reborn will actually prevent the update from happening (I'm not going to try) but it does not prevent the update notification from appearing.

I assume this update will take a while with how much customization you guys have done and the problems other ROMs have had with ZVH... but you guys are so quiet. Any leaked info on how it's coming?

But seriously, Thanks for all the hard work and I'm sticking with ZVD and Reborn until the update gets released.

Thank you. That's what I was hoping to hear. I've read some posts today from people saying their phone automatically installed the update, so I got a little nervous.

I've actually used ReBorn on my updated ZVH and it worked quite well other than the whole radio thing =)

keep losing the 3g signal whenever i try the portable hotspot. wireless tether isn't working either

I tried mine today, and I've used it and NOT changed the rom in any way from one a few older than the current version. I know that sprint changed plans to include hotspot usage... perhaps the towers can actually see when you attempt to use hotspot now and that's causing it to drop to a 1x with 0 bars. About 20sec after I turn off my hotspot, my 3g comes back to 5 bars. I have changed NOTHING from the last time I used hotspot about a month ago.

Are there any issues with pairing bluetooth headset on this ROM? I want to find out before flashing it. I am currently use Drew Waltons' cyanogen mod 7 and cannot connect my headset to the phone.

Bluetooth works great. This is based off of LG's VD ROM so all of the drivers for bluetooth, GPS etc are from the stock ROM.

I will be in a situation soon at my apartment that I will not have internet connection and am hoping to use the hotspot to connect my laptop for some basic surfing, and not get another internet subscription. I am on it right now trying out, and it seems fine. I'm on ZVD..

Can Sprint actually tell if we are using as a hotspot if we're rooted? Of course I can always try to find an open connection from another tennant..

My understanding is that the carriers have always been able to detect wifi hotspot usage. That is how the other carriers were able to send out letters to customers telling them to stop or they would automatically be signed up for a tethering plan.

I think that Sprint has been the only carrier so far that hasn't cared about unofficial tether usage, or at least hasn't done anything about it. Maybe that is changing... (Mine still works fine)

It cannot be detected and Sprint does care but its hard to find out otherwise. If ur using 80 gig a month thats a way for them to know lol. But who does that unless u wanna get caught? be smart only use it when u have to, dont download torrents with it and be efficient not dumb. Im not saying every is dumb just use ur head and u will be fine.

Button wake will allow all of the normal buttons to wake the screen. (Menu, home, etc.)
