Got it.

Folks, jstntp was kind enough to make a flashable zip of the button backgrounds you can see above. Here it is:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/22075292/Andriod/Nameless_rom/S-Jacobs_Power-Mod.zip

You should be able to flash this in recovery without wiping anything. The normal disclaimers apply, (we're not responsible if your phone spontaneously self combusts).

To get the green indicators I have above, or any color you want, open "PowerControl Settings" in your app drawer, go to Indicator Color, select the color you want on the color wheel, and tap the center dot to save your choice.

Don't forget to go back and thank some of jstntp's posts for his efforts!

Anybody have this file posted somewhere?

Try this one.

EDIT: Oops, too late. LOL

I don't know why I didn't think of this earlier.. this was also running are launcher.. I didn't think of it. I will do some further testing. Also this is on 2. 0

Ok further testing on wallpaper may of been wrong, I initially thought it was the live wallpaper crashing the phone, but here is what happened today.

Running ADW, live wallpaper, gingerbread keyboard.
After getting a visual voice mail, phone locked up.

Running Sprint VVM

Changes that happened after rebooting.
Home button does not wake up screen, it did at times but haven't narrowed it down.
I have also noticed it reset to htc keyboard again.

I am pretty sure it has something to do with the VVM, but haven't tried it in different instances.

And is the home button supposed to wake up screen or not ? and why is it only sometimes .

Thanks ahead for any replies.

no I didnt, that is why I thought it was odd. It doesnt do it now though. and yes I did do datawipe

ok since ive flashed 2.1 i also flashed noIQ-reborn-bat-mod then when i try to flash S-Jacobs_Power-Mod bright buttons signed zip it undoes the previouse flash it just goes back and forth you can only do 1 or the other. On 2.0 i could do both! Any way i can still do that?

I actually noticed the same thing when I flashed the battery mod, however it did remove the power control changes in both versions of reborn

Ya, they can't both be used at the same time. Even on v2.0. But let me ask ShortyJacobs if he minds me combining my noIQ-reborn-bat-mod zip with his Power-Mod bright buttons zip.

That is if anyone is interested in that.

There are no battery problems with this ROM. If you are having problems here are some tips:

- If you are going to clear data make sure you have a full charge before flashing the ROM. Try to let the battery drain most the way before charging again.
- If you are not going to clear data, get a full charge and clear battery stats in recovery, then reboot. Try to let the battery drain most the way before charging again.

If you still have battery issues then it is an application keeping your phone from sleeping or such. If this is the case download spare parts to help track down applications causing battery drain.

I upgraded to 2.1, from 2.0 last night and haven't had any problems since upgrading. The problems I was having with 2.0 don't seem to exist (I don't know how much was changed between the two versions, according to the change log only a couple of things were) in 2.0 I was having a lot of lockup issues where I would unlock my screen, and it would either stutter or freeze for 5-10 seconds before going to the home screen. In some instances, I would hit the power button and the screen just wouldn't turn on but the buttons would light up, other times the screen wouldn't turn off when pressing the power button and the screen would lock up and become unresponsive. I had to do a battery pull sometimes once a day, which became a hassle because once rebooted my browser was back to stock, and none of my preferred applications were set anymore, and like others have mentioned the keyboard goes back to the HTC keyboard. This all happened with running a /stock/ Reborn v2, no themes (obviously) and nothing drastic as far as background apps or any of that stuff. All-in-all, I love the ROM, it's quick, sleek, and even more stable. I haven't experienced any battery issues like a some others have, I use my phone quite a bit and my battery generally lasts me the entire day from about 8am - 2am when I put it back on the charger.

Looking forward to future updates!

Trying this. I will report back with results. I'll give it a few days to see if anything changes for me.
