If your having a high amount of Alarm wakes from Google Maps (like I was 10 minutes ago )

Denying all map related auto starts could just be the ticket.

You'll want to turn off your GPS and erase data from Google Maps before doing this

There's an Auto Start Manager in the ROM Toolbox app.... (You could alternately use Gemini App Manager or Autostarts as well..Play Store)

You'll want to find Maps and disable all 5 entry s

All should be good after that. Gonna test this out in real time tomorrow.

So if you turn that off for maps, does it still run fine? I've never figured out why maps runs randomly in the background when not in use. But otherwise if you do this and need to use it, just open it up like normal and all is good?

Also, does this deny access to programs that have location-based settings? Like Google Now or weather apps.

Works great, it just turns off unused requests like widgets and auto checkins. You can theoretically do this within map settings but thats way to easy...lol! Give it a shot.
