[ROM] Uncommon Sense (v1.0) Release!

The music controls on the lock screen don't work for me running many media apps (stock music mod, zimly, pandora, listen) did I miss something to make them work? Anyone else having these problems?

I did a full wipe/fresh install of this. I've run stock kernel, Hydra's undervolted, and KK #5 and still no go.

Is it just me or does anyone else also not have the pdf reader that was on there? I think there was a HTC pdf reader if I am not mistaken. If there was how can I get it back or can anyone make a recommendation other than the Adobe product itself, please. TIA

I installed this rom and my text messages are gone. I cant send one and I dont have the folder for messages. What is going on?

Is anyone else having issues with apps not appearing in App Folder on the 1.1 release? I have 180 apps loaded, only 175 are showing in app folder.

Does anyone have a tip on how to get the handful of apps to appear? I have already refreshed from the main menu and done the reload all applications from settings.

I have also tried fixing permissions prior to doing the above as well.

1) Did Bluetooth improve on this ROM? Working like a normal stack?
2) Will I lose HTC Sync? I need it to sync contacts with Outlook.
3) Either I missed it, or I don't see where I get the radio rom/kernel/whatever I need. Is there a step by step that I missed?

1) Personally, I haven't had any issues with bluetooth. Once caveat, I don't use BT all that often.
2) Sync works fine.
3) Kernel is included, you can install any kernel you want or you can stay stock.

This is my first post. Thank you for this ROM! Between this and unrevoked 3 for OTA 2.2, I decided to root. I am running this ROM, clockworkmod, and hydra undervolt @ stock speed. AMAZING! I bought you a "tall boy" BTW. Thanks again!

I had cyanogen on my phone and I love this rom. I had a lot of random rebooting. So far none on this one. And I got my systemapp remover back. For some reason when I reloaded it was gone and could not redownload. Then when I put this on it was in my list of paid downloads. Weird..

Skype after Uncommon Sense install

I installed the 1.1 Uncommon Sense ROM. Very much a noob here.

Unrevoked / clockwork
Titanium Backup - and a backup (without Verizon apps)
installed ROM manager.
Clean swipe and chose Uncommon Sense from SD card.

Great!! Then i restored my apps from Titanium Backup.

My real question....After all of this, I installed the real Skype Mobile app, not Skype For Verizon. I did airplane mode, turned the WiFi on. Made a successful call to a landline. Now that I'm all rooted and customed ROM'ed.... That call was just on WiFi right? No minutes used??

I don't know what to say, email still isn't pushing through. I'm a huge fan of this ROM, but about to go back to Virtuous so that I can get my emails without constantly having to refresh.

It works for me. This is what you have to do. Open the messages app. click the menu option. Then click "more". Then click send and receive. Click "set download frequency". Make sure that peak time start is set to 8am and peak time end is set to 8pm. Then click peak times and set it to every 15 minutes. Then keep hitting the back button until you are back at your homescreen. You should now be getting your emails. Even if all of your settings were already set to what I stated, going into them and resetting them will fix your issue.

I looked in the gmail app, the Message HTC app....didn't find this setting anywhere...

I have 2 different Gmail accounts.

I have ZERO problems with my main gmail account which syncs all my contacts, emails no problem.

When I added the second gmail account it prompted me initially that the account is not set at auto-sync and I had to go into the "Accounts and Sync" and do so myself.

Even in doing this it still does not work. I get emailed pushed to my main gmail account right away, when I send the same email to my secondary gmail account I have to manually refresh to get the email.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Yesterday I stopped receiving my corporate push email, I read the forums that this is common for the push email with this rom. I restored back to original. And then re-installed this ROM but when I do I cant get txt messages. In fact it says that app no longer exists.

My ringtone and notification sounds just started changing randomly over the last two days. It happened yesterday and I put them back and then rebooted. Then it happened again today. My phone rings and it is some random song I have on my phone. WTF?

I've been using this since 1.0 came out.

no issues thus far, however it seems the frequency of a failure to initialize 3G services until i reboot has increased.

i wonder if that's a radio issue, and not a ROM issue.

I've noticed that as well, a loss of 3G until reboot. Seems to happen when I disconnect from a wifi network by simply going out of range while connected - like leaving the house without turning off wifi connection, 3G just never starts, even after I turn off wifi. Toggling airplane mode doesn't work either. Doing that just necessitates two reboots. One to turn off airplane mode and another to rekindle 3G.

does this ROM have the stock htc mms.apk in it. I see the Rosie ReMap packs in the first post, is that the stock htc one? or is the one in the full ROM the one I want? The reason I'm asking is I need the stock htc mms.apk as a back-up, I am going to try and install the vanilla mms on my Incredible and in case something doesn't work I need the stock to go back to. Thanks!
