I currently have 62% after 11.5hrs. 2:20 awake time.

The sbc #15 is the htc kernel with the charging tweaks.

thanks for the reply I'm averaging about eight hours with three hours awake time with this kernal+rom so I'm gonna check to see if I have something not sleeping or a rouge app sapping my battery.

In the rom zip they will be in /data/app or /system/app

Always a good idea to back up something before uninstalling it though.

Thanks!

One more question. I'm unable to install Swype v2.15 from VaelSettings. It won't let me uninstall Swype v2.7. The "uninstall" button under "Manage Applications" is grayed out. Any info on this?

Anyone have an answer to this? I have the same problem. i tried TB and it would not get rid of it either.

I also tried TitaniumBackup and was unsuccessful. Are there any apps that can force uninstall? Or is there a way to get around the grayed button?

********* warning about sbc kernel ************

So I don't know if there is anything to this or not yet. I have had 2 reports of batteries dying while using an SBC kernel.

In both cases, they worked fine initially, and after about a week started to charge very slowly. In one case it got to 30% and just died. In the other it got to about 57% and then started discharging, then just died.

This could be an issue with the kernel, it could be poorly designed batteries that failed when actually charged to capacity, it could be random flukes, I don't know. But be warned as VP 3.0 comes with an SBC kernel in it.

I am going to continue to use the SBC myself and see what happens. If you don't want to take any chances, I highly recommend flashing a non-SBC kernel right away.

I tried using that guide and forcing uninstall. The phone reboots into recovery but I get the following:

Build: RA-supersonic-v2.1.1
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Verifying update package...
E: no signature (116 files)
E: verification failed
Installation aborted

Any idea what went wrong?

Edit:
I also tried freezing swype and installing the updated version but the installation was not successful.

First of all, the guide that I posted that is now stickied doesn't ever tell you to reboot into recovery, as you aren't really "rooted" anymore when it reboots and it assumes you don't have a recovery flashed on your phone. Your phone should basically just reboot back into the Stock rom. Did you mean it goes into the hboot menu? If you are getting back into recovery I assume you are already rooted....which should make uninstalling apps easier, as ironic as that may sound. Unfortunately I cannot answer the question about why your phone is booting back up like that. My guess is that you have a .zip file in the root of your sd card causing the issue.

I don't know if perhaps Vaelek's Rom itself is not allowing the pre-installed version of swpye to be removed for some reason? You may want to ask him directly on his forum or via PM. I have Swype version 2.7.49 on Vaelpak 3.0, but I use it so I have no reason to uninstall it. I just checked Titantium and I can choose to uninstall it, but I don't want to:)
