ROMs for longest battery life?

Re: Roms

+1. All these other ROMs have to use more power to get the best results. Those are meant for our phones and are really just cut down stock ROMs.

Which one do you like better?

Harmonia1 would be the best. If you have any issues, it's still actively supported so you will have assistance.

Tapatalkin it from my IHO CM7.2'd, MIUI Themed Optimus V

Re: Roms

I'm using overdrive 2.2 and battery life wasn't that great for me.. all I did was listen to music for a couple of hrs and text and in 8hrs I'm at 30% battery

Re: Roms

Remember that the act of flashing a rom eats up a lot of battery. If you want to compare battery life fairly you need to leave the rom installed for a few days and see how much it uses at that point

I say, the right IHO setting aren't bad as well. Lost 30 since earlier today.

Re: Roms

I find Harmonia 2 to be great on battery life. Most roms that have been made by the users of the forum focus on the best battery life and preformance for the users. :) Great work to all the users whom spend there free time to help the Ov and the users.

Re: Roms

What I do to save a LOT of battery and I mean A WHOLE LOT, is just switch to 1x. I still get facebook notifications, emails and all that fun stuff, but it isn't using 3g. Or you can just turn off data while in class or work or a situation in which you aren't using your phone.

Or just have the phone charge as you flash a rom, that's what I always do and my battery life doesn't suffer from building up all of that cache and dalvik cache data :p

Re: Roms

Remember, Bumblebee doesn't support new screens.
Also, leave the phone on charge while flashing and first boot, it helps cut down on the drain.

How do you switch to 1x and still get emails?

1xRTT you still get data, just alot slower.

And also, contrary to popular belief, you don't need to sit on a ROM to have the battery even out. The OS holds no real battery capacity to run off of. Battery stats file is just whatever you see Battery Use, nothing more. Initially, new batteries have to be "broken in" but after that it is normal to use it as is.

On topic: BumbleBee gives the best battery, if your phone is an older model.

And on that note, I wish the source was up, so it can be recompiled for phones with both older and newer screens.
