Correct. I wouldn't advise people to delete any files. Rather rename them from .apk to .bak.... Then you can just rename them back. Or you can use titanium backup and freeze the bloatware.

If by chance someone had already deleted them, don't panick just ask someone for the needed fikes and you can add them back.

You can also copy them off to SD(to get some space back) and then delete the original. I'll be doing up a bloat clean up script shortly.
 
Just wanted to let you guys know this went great for me yesterday afternoon. My phone has been running quite nicely since then, and I did use a few apps with superuser permissions. The only thing that threw was the part where you pull the battery. I had to disconnect the cable, AND pull the battery - both of which seemed a little scary given the process, but it turned out fine.

Yeah, I think they need to add the step telling people when to disconnect the cable.
