Root and NFC question

I just rooted my phone using the MotoRoot 1.1 app that jcase released on Friday. Yesterday I noticed my NFC option was greyed out. Does this just happen with the root method I used or will all future root methods have the same result? In other words, is it possible to have NFC with root?

Yea my NFC is working with the root. Is your phone on airplane mode? Sometimes mine turns off when put on airplane mode

This is crazy! I just checked my phone again and now it is lit up and usable. Strange. I have not rebooted or anything.
