So its been 9 years since the Galaxy S7/Edge's release and 5 years since the last software update ever released for the phone, i think it was the last security patch released for the S7 series. Is there any method or a new method to root/unlock the bootloader on this device. I have a Galaxy S7 Edge Snapdragon variant SM-G935U model and it was simply sitting in the drawer and after these many years i was wondering is there a way to get root/unlock the bootloader on this phone. Maybe like a new exploit has been discovered or something like that. I would really like to do something with this phone. So if you people have any ideas/suggestions/tips please do let me know. Oh and one more thing i'll tell this now itself. Please tell me how to reduce cell standby and android system app battery drain in this thing because these both drain the battery very quickly.

My suggestion is to check XDA Developers forums. They have more information regarding rooting and custom ROMs.
Already checked there is no bootloader unlock/root for devices running Bootloader 11/B. Atleast can you tell me how to fix "Android System" app and cell standby battery drain

Are you planning on using this phone daily for daily use? It's an old phone so the battery most likely has degraded and you will probably need to just charge more to get through your days. You can try putting the phone on power saving mode and restrict apps background refresh wherever possible.

I kind of use it daily. I got the battery changed by Samsung in 2024. Tried medium power saving no use, restricting apps background refresh you mean turning off run in background in app settings?? And especially google maps lags like hell even to load the directions it takes a lot of time i'll just be sitting in my car staring at the phone like when are you gonna load
