Root for Droid Mini & KitKat 4.2.2?

Hey, guys. I'm getting sick of my limitations with my droid mini. Is there a safe root out yet for KitKat? If so, a walkthrough would be extremely helpful, as well. I know enough to make unwise changes on my device or choices pertaining to it, which is why I'm asking.

I've been checking XDA a few times a month since KitKat (4.4.0)arrived, nothing so far for some reason. I do feel that 4.4.2 will roll out to the droids sometime after Moto finishes upgrading the X to 4.4.2, so maybe the dev community is waiting for that to happen.

I would have learned how to root mine last fall, but I didn't want to jump through too many hoops to get KitKat to work without problems, and thought a 4.4.0 root method would be found quickly. Boy was I wrong.
