Root on 2.2 Mac

I'll be able to benchmark later tonight. Flash runs well in the browser. Vimeo, YouTube, etc work like they would on a desktop browser. A lot less buggy than the videos I saw from Adobe's reviews.you won't be disappointed. I'll definitely post another video and answer some q's when I get home later tonight.

Thanks! Looking forward to it. It'll be something to hold me over until the rest of us get us some of that delicious Froyo goodness.

Yea if chrome to phone isnt working, its not the latest build. Those of us that ran Froyo leaks on the Droid, that was one app that didnt work until later builds. Moto Torch was another one until the developer updated it.

Second quick look is coming up. Here are some specs for you.

System Version: Version 2.2.1.MB810.Verizon.en.US , eng build
Model Number: DROIDX
Android Version: 2.2
Baseband Version: BP_C_01.09.04P
Kernel Version: 2.6.32.9-gfed5c94
w30471@il93lnxdroid08 #1
Build Number: VZW
ERI Version: 5
PRL Version: 51926

Full Quadrant Benchmark came out at 854. Dont have the ability to toggle on/off Flash content. Chrometophone is fully operational (and really cool). I purchased this via private party. More on my next quick look which is uploading currently.

Something is def wrong with your Quadrant score because i consistantly get around 1243-1265. Try turning the phone off and then back on and running the test again

It may be correct. For some odd reason, I have heard reports of LOWER quadrant benchmark scores with Froyo. I also get anywhere from 1200-1311. I was afraid of this.

Does the 2.2 jit? Can u toggle it on and off. Flash is controlled in the browser settings.

Is it possible to get a system dump? I use the multi touch keyboard on the Evo 4g 2.1. Now I am on 2.2 and would love to have the keyboard back.

Wow....810!! I hope that's not the real-deal 2.2 that's gonna be put out. Even with four or five applications running, I'm still seeing ~1280.

On Linpack I'm seeing ~8.3 MFLOPS (which is really strange considering how well DX does on Quadrant).

Guessing here, but there's too big a disparity between these two scores when compared to other phones and their respective scores - just doesn't make sense.

NICE. You're lucky... not only do you have an X, you have FroYo. Sigh...

I just hope it doesn't come with flash baked into the ROM. The sooner flash is gone the better.

I can't wait to have froyo so we have flash content available. Biggest annoyance right now is not being able to use flash, so Froyo will make this phone (near) perfect. Hope there is a mild improvement in battery usage as well, although I'm doubtful. I'd love it if we could set the endpoints for the auto-brightness.

I don't remember if it was Android Central or somewhere else, but they did a benchmark video for YouTube and it showed that the X was posting unusually high I/O scores, which was why the raw score for Quadrant was so high. For everything else, it was just a tiny bit slower than the Hummingbirds in the Galaxy S's.

A similar low score was posted with a leaked Droid 2 running 2.2, if I recall correctly, which leads me to believe that the original Droid X scores on 2.1 might be botched for all of us.

Let's just hope that these leaked 2.2 builds are broken-ish :\

Ok I'm still confused. the video says full flash. but every 2.2I've run on my droid I needed to dl it from market. so does 2.2 actually ship with flash? Why is there no hype? I mean I know its bored in the Rom section but it was on the AC front home page. this poster has really given us much more info. I haven't seen no other tech blogs pick up. Did this get debunked or what . If it is real how about real good review ie what is new what has been added is jit on it there is some things we could learn this guy. id be bragging and shooting fireworks if I had the only real legit 2.2 froyo on my x.

Debunked? *smirk* Do you have other specific questions besides jit? I'll do my best to answer your Q's.

Hi and grats on the phone!

Specific questions:

Does the lock screen slider still hang? Mine will almost snag 3/4 the way through.

Are all the moto ui elements intact, specifically the gallary and dialer? These are two things i miss from stock especially the 3d gallary.

Not sure if u have used a stock DX to compare but are there any normal phone use cases (sms, dialer, launcher) that feel laggy or buggy?

Is the HDMI still locked to using the moto gallery?

Thanks for your posts and time answering stuff!
