Root on 2.3.6?

Is there a root for people who got the upgrade? OR is there a way to downgrade? If I do a factory restore, will I go back to 2.3.5?

I'm more interested in just having root access and not necessarily roms. I enjoy the phone how it is, I just want to manage my battery more efficiently.

I am using W7 Ultimate, by the way.

This is the method I used and it worked great. There was one area where I had problems however and I had to really work the google to find a resolution. When I tried to install the superuser.zip with CWM it kept erroring out with a "blah blah blah Error (Status 0)". Even if I did a reboot and restarted the process the same thing. What I eventually ended up doing was just keep trying to install the superuser.zip back to back without exiting CWM and every time it would get a little further in the process until it was successful. I think it took 3 or 4 attempts. As far as I can tell there were no ill effects and the root is working fine. Just FYI.
