If I buy a used galaxy nexus that is rooted will I still get the OTA updates? If not what would I have to do? The question is about a gsm version
Thanks for your help!

I'm not too sure about the first question but if you don't get OTA updates then you simply would just have to Unroot the device which there are a lot of instructions if you just typed it in google.

No, rooted phones will not receive OTA updates. You have to un-root it.

Thanks for the info, will look for an unrooted phone.

Is there a guide that I could read to unroot the phone?

You may or may not get updates when rooted. I know that my Nexus was rooted, but not altered or hacked in any other manner, and I DID received an OTA update. This broke my root and I had to re-root it.

If you don't want to deal with any of that, You can unroot pretty simply as the other posters have suggested.
