Quick question guys, I am currently rooted, but I have a habit of reformatting my phone every 1-2 months to keep things fresh. Has anyone done a factory reset under settings while rooted? It's just so much faster and simpler that way if we can. Thanks in advance!

What are you asking, if you'll lose root? My understanding is that you keep root when doing a FR.

You should keep root as SuperSU should be installed as a system app.

so once I factory reset, I should have everything including root. the reason why I asked is because about a year ago, I was rooted with another phone and when I just did a simple factory reset, the phone soft bricked.

If you don't want to risk it, why not just unroot, factory reset, the reflash your rooted system image?

Even if it happens to soft brick after a reset while rooted (which it shouldn't), then you could always just flash the full KDZ again via download mode.
