rooted, but couldn't push su - advice?

Droid X2, Android 2.3.4, used Petes Tools. It finished, said it rooted, but couldn't push su. Advised to unroot and try again. Did twice. Fix??? Thank you.

Wow, surprised you havent been helped yet. Best way to root a phone what doesn't have a specific tutorial is by rooting with Cydia Impactor. (Cydia Impactor) Download that, plug in your device and enable data connection then simply click start in this program!
