rooted lg G2 is stuck in the 2nd step of the new kit Kat update

Hello everyone, so I have a black Verizon lg g2 that I rooted a few months back. I downloaded the new software update and the installation was going well until the second step where the screen went black with several lines of text at the top left with each saying that said directory does not exist. And it will stay on that screen for several minutes, boot up again to step 2 of the update and reach about 40% completion and then black screen again with the same text at the top left. What could be the issue? Thank you in advance

The Root Access . . . You cannot Root your ROM and get OTA Updates from the LG Vendor / Verizon.I would recommend downloading the LG Flash Tool , and the most recent KDZ file for your phone, booting into Download Mode and Flashing back to Stock.
